TOTE stewardship project: Nashoba Regional HS
Alison Doucette, a teacher at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton, Massachusetts, was the first to report on the stewardship project that all TOTE participants committed to as part of their involvement in the 2010 Teachers on the Estuary workshop.
Alison and her students established raised beds and sparked a school-wide Earth Day event. Students cleaned up the school grounds, filled the raised beds with soil, put in a few lettuce plants (with plans to add potatoes, leeks, tomatoes, herbs, and carrots started in her lab), planted flowers, raked, and more.
