Spatial trends in coastal socioeconomics
A new website from NOAA lets you determine demographic and economic characteristics of a wide variety of important coastal management jurisdictions using a quick report tool. The Spatial Trends in Coastal Socioeconomics website can display these datasets:
- demographics from the U.S. Census Bureau
- personal income and employment from the Bureau of Economic Analysis
- demographic projections developed by Woods and Poole Economics, Inc.
- marine recreation from the National Survey on Recreation in the Environment
…over these coastal management jurisdictions:
- place-based management programs
- floodplains
- watersheds
- political areas
