EPA invites public input on clean water
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has invited 100 water experts to help the agency sharpen its thinking on water issues. During the one-day "Coming Together for Clean Water" event, EPA administrator Lisa Jackson and assistant administrator for the Office of Water Peter Silva will discuss with leaders on water issues what can be done about the most significant pollution problems facing our nation's waters.
The agency is gathering public input that will help guide this discussion. Comments are invited on three key topics:
- The Watershed Approach
- Managing Pollutants from Nutrients
- Stormwater Pollution
