Javier and Alejandra, Osprey Migration Dance

Osprey Migration Dance workshop

The Bird Brain project visited several sites along the osprey's migratory route in eastern North America in 2002, appearing in August at the Wells Reserve. Four dancers — Jennifer Monson, Javier Cardona, Alejandra Martorell, and Morgan Thorson — led a participatory dance in a workshop setting, then performed their Osprey Migration Dance. They also joined a panel discussion with ornithologist June Ficker, naturalist Don Hudson, and wildlife rehabilitator Karen McElmurray.
