Our 2011 Volunteers For Peace contingent has begun to arrive from around the globe. Over the next few weeks, they will be helping out around here in numerous ways, not the least of which is to help the Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival run smoothly.
We are indeed fortunate to host Volunteers For Peace again this summer. Our small contingent will be arriving over the next day or so for their 2-week commitment at the Reserve.
We welcome Anne Hollinghaus and Christin Kastl from Germany, Louis (Rocky) Shawcross from Northern Ireland, Nayoung Shin from South Korea, Tamura Makoto from Japan, and, hopefully, Nikola Minic from Serbia (obtaining Serbian visas can be tricky).
This crew will help with trail maintenance, assist with the Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival, and otherwise contribute to our mission.
