EARTH DAY FAIR AT WELLS RESERVE APRIL 17

WELLS, MAINE --- Earth Day is coming, so get out, breathe fresh spring air, and reconnect with the land and water. A great place to shake off the winter chill is the Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm, which invites you to a free Earth Day Environmental Fair on Saturday, April 17, from 11 am to 3 pm.

More than 25 conservation groups, businesses, schools, and other organizations will display information, discuss their work, and demonstrate what they do to make our planet a healthier place.

Special activities include crafts for kids, a nature reading at 11:30 am, and guided walks at 1 pm and 2 pm. Meet the authors of "Nature Walks along the Seacoast." Listen to the Cover Crops, a 4-piece folk-bluegrass band. Hike miles of trails, stroll along the beach, or just sit and reflect on your place in this world.

Borealis Breads will have lunches for sale. Carpe Diem and Healthy Java have donated coffee, so please bring along your mug.

The Earth Day celebration is sponsored by Bay State Gas/Northern Utilities, with additional support from Grandy Oats.

The Wells Reserve is located at 342 Laudholm Farm, just off Routes 1 and 9 near the Wells-Kennebunk line. For more information, call (207) 646-1555 or visit www.wellsreserve.org.
