SUSAN ROUILLARD IS NEW PRESIDENT OF LAUDHOLM TRUST

WELLS, MAINE -- Laudholm Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the wise stewardship of estuaries and coastal watersheds, welcomes Susan Rouillard as its new President.

In late May, Rouillard assumed responsibility for strategic planning, community building, budgeting, and fund raising for Laudholm Trust. She serves as spokesperson for Laudholm Trust and oversees a professional staff of four. She also provides leadership and direction to the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve as chair of the Reserve Management Authority.

Rouillard was previously associate vice president for development at the University of New England. During her time at UNE, Rouillard directed the UNEqualed Vision for the Future Campaign, which raised $9.5 million for the university, including a $750,000 challenge grant from the Kresge Foundation. The campaign helped to underwrite construction of a new marine science education and research center at UNE and a new interactive classroom on the Westbrook College campus.

Rouillard is a resident of Kennebunk.

Laudholm Trust is a member-supported 501(c)(3) organization that contributes or otherwise makes available resources and services primarily to the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve. The two organizations have offices at historic Laudholm Farm in Wells.
