WINTER FUN FOR FAMILIES AT WELLS RESERVE

WELLS, MAINE - The Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm hosts an afternoon of seasonal fun on Saturday, January 29, from noon to 4 pm. With or without snow, the third annual Winter Family Fun Day will have games, stories, crafts, and activities for all ages. The suggested fee is just $5 per family.

Outdoor fun, weather permitting, will include snow sculptures, wildlife tracking, snowshoe walks, nature walks, sledding (bring your sled or toboggan), and a scavenger hunt. Please dress warmly.

Indoors, we will listen to stories read by a Wells librarian and make animal track casts, paper models of fish and other animals, snowflakes and other snow crafts, pine cone bird feeders, and more.

Snowshoes will be provided free by Eastern Mountain Sports. Cross-country skis are available at half price from the Wells Recreation Department if you mention Winter Family Fun Day. Free hot drinks will be offered, so please bring your mugs.
