Wild Kingdom at Your Back Door, an Evening Program at the Wells Reserve. Hannah Holmes will talk about her new book, Suburban Safari: A Year on the Lawn. She wanted to know if the same open-eyed sense of exploration she would take to Madagascar or Mongolia would reveal a similarly exotic population of animals and plants. It did. On the stage of the yard, the life and death struggles of squirrels, crows, and even oak trees and insects, play out as the year unfolds. The talk is free, but donations are accepted. The author will be available to autograph books Reservations are not needed. Please bring your own mug for free organic coffee or tea. FMI: (207) 646-1555.
