The Laudholm Native Plant Sale offers more than 40 perennials, ground covers, shrubs, and small trees native to the state, all at excellent prices. Pick up your purchases at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm on June 3 from 4 to 6 pm or June 4 from 10 am to 3 pm.

June 4 is Laudholm Native Plant Day, with four useful workshops being offered. Lucinda Brockway will talk about habitat design with native plants, Dr. Bud Johnston will prepare you for battling invasive species, and Alan Hayes will describe how to build better gardens by improving soil. All the workshops are free.

Master Gardeners and other knowledgable volunteers will be on hand to help you pick the right plant for the right place, minimize garden maintenance, encourage and preserve native wildlife, and learn how to create an ecosystem in your own backyard.
