Docent Training: Microscopic Marvels (Session 1 of 2: Water Quality Testing on the Marsh)
Everything is connected! Come share this important message with 6 – 12th grade students in our Microscopic Marvels program. Through hands-on investigation of water quality and plankton, students discover the interactions between the living and non-living factors that make up a healthy estuary ecosystem. Students spend time out on the research marsh and in the teaching lab.
This session is part 1 of 2 for the Microscopic Marvels program. This session includes (a) an in depth training on water quality parameters and testing equipment and, (b) a run through of the marsh/water quality portion of the program.
Pre-registration is required. Please contact Caryn Beiter. Phone: (207) 646-1555 x 110, Email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please dress for the weather and bring waterproof boots for the trail portion. Meet in the Teaching Lab in the Maine Coastal Ecology Center.
