Preschool program educators and day care providers working with children ages 3 through 6 are invited to explore the new Project Learning Tree Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood guide. It integrates nature-based exploration, art, literature, math, music and movement, and outdoor play into early childhood education programs. Whether you regularly use the outdoors as a classroom or hesitate every time you send your children out to play, the EC guide is an invitation - an invitation to increase the quantity and quality of contact that your children have with nature. The cost is $35/person, which includes the PLT Early Childhood guide, an EC CD with 14 Nature songs and music, a certificate of participation and more. Register before November 26, 2010 by sending a $35 check made out to Maine TREE Foundation, 153 Hospital Street, Augusta, Maine 04330, and note workshop date. This workshop will be led by Suzanne Eder, Education Director at the Wells Reserve and Pat Maloney, Maine PLT Coordinator.
