MOVED TO RAIN DATE: Vernal Pools Alive! Night Hike

May 2, 2012, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm View more Events

Come along with Wetlands Scientist Heather Storlazzi-Ward to explore the murky waters of a vernal pool alive with frog song and swimming salamanders. We will search for amphibian eggs and awesome insects while learning about the importance of these special wetlands. Rain or shine. Dress for the weather and WEAR WATERPROOF BOOTS even if it is not raining, as we will be walking at the edges of wetlands!!! Bring a headlamp or flashlight and polarized sunglasses (if you have them) for seeing into the water. Weather date is Wednesday, May 2.
