All Seasons Garden: Sheet Mulching and Home Composting
Meet at the All Seasons Garden (aka the corn-and-pumpkin patch) to help prepare the soil for a garden expansion using a low-input sheet mulching with newspaper, cardboard, and compost. We will also cover the basics of home composting: using the correct materials, compost management for optimum production, and options for bins.
Dress for the outdoors and be prepared for "hands on" learning.
This program, led by Allan Amioka, Glenn MacWilliams, and Frank Wertheim, is part of the Four-Season Gardening series brought to the Wells Reserve at Laudholm by York County Master Gardeners.
