Celebrating the Summer Program Season

Posted by Wells Reserve Contributor | August 27, 2013

Summer Docent Potluck

A group of our dedicated summer docents gathered this afternoon to celebrate a successful summer program season. These amazing volunteer naturalists braved the heat, humidity, and swarms of mosquitos to lead our 20 scheduled summer guided walks throughout the season with enthusiasm and expertise. While one guided walk still remains (History of a Saltwater Farm, this Thursday!), so far their efforts have reached 134 visitors of all ages during a total of 27 hours of educational programming. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done and continue to do to support the mission of the Education Program here at the Wells Reserve!

Thank you, thank you!

If you are interested in becoming a docent for our educational programs here at the Reserve, please check out our upcoming Fall Docent Training schedule and contact Kate at (207) 646-1555 ext 110 to sign up!
