Come and explore mid- summer blooming wildflowers with “Boot” Boutwell. The reserve has 7 miles of trails through a rich variety of habitats, but we won’t have to walk very far to see a host of flowers. Among the highlights will be our strolls through the meadows and wet meadows where we expect to see a host of flowers in bloom. We will enjoy their beauty, learn some basic identification characteristics and also learn some wildflower natural history and lore including a plant that can be used to make an herbal tea and a flower which produced a fruit carried on long sea voyages by New England sea captains to prevent scurvy.
Please note: Program fee does not include site admission fee.
