Planning and Facilitating Collaborative Meetings (Wells)

Are you interested in learning how to plan and facilitate collaborative meetings that get results? Then you've come to the right event! During this workshop, you will become a better facilitator by learning how to:

• Determine if a collaborative process is appropriate
• Select people with the skill sets needed to fill each meeting role
• Use appropriate process tools and techniques to address meeting objectives
• Enhance facilitation skills with practice using simple tools
• Manage conflict in meetings through a greater understanding of group dynamics
• Identify disruptive behaviors in group processes and practice strategies to deal with them

This workshop is designed to help improve your skills as a facilitator—harness the power of the collaborative process and the wisdom of your peers. Participants at every level are welcome.

This training will be held at the Wells Reserve. The course will also be presented at the Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park on June 17-18.

This 2-day training is being brought to the coast of Maine by the Wells Reserve, the Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park, and the Maine Coastal Program. The trainings are cosponsored by Casco Bay Estuary Program, Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Hancock County Soil and Water Conservation District, Island Institute, Maine Sea Grant, Piscataqua Region Estuary Partnership, and Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission.
