Blue Fuse plays contemporary and classic Gypsy Swing. Based in Portland, Maine, Blue Fuse is steeped in Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club Jazz of Paris in the 30s and 40s. The sounds are familiar and accessible; you have heard these tunes before.
Blue Fuse plays the classics of the genre and contemporary adaptations adding in Latin beats and surprises. Accordion, guitars, bass, vocals and lively banter. They can be found in coffee houses, festivals, seedy jazz dives, distilleries and private cocktail parties on ocean verandas all around New England.
