Are you and your kids on the computer too much these days? Are you looking for an outside nature -focused learning adventure? Join us! Our Fall Family-School programs are focused on school-age kids, but all ages are welcome. Because of pandemic precautions, our group size is limited to 10. In order to allow for as many kids to participate as possible, we ask that you limit your group ratio to 1 adult to 4 kids. Thank you!


This week's program is: 

Life Under the Dock – Seaweed, crabs and shrimp oh my! Join us in taking a closer look at the marine plants and animals that live on and below the Wells Harbor dock. We will investigate using nets and buckets and also try to catch crabs! (photo credit: Laurie Newell)

***This program takes place at Wells Harbor! Navigate to 352 Harbor Rd, Wells.***

*Please dress for the weather and bring layers. It can be windy/chilly or sunny at the dock! We will also be laying down on the wooden dock planks in order to find creatures.

*Life jackets required for kids ages 10 and under while on the dock. Please bring them if you have them. There are also some for public use on the dock. 

Important Covid information: Maximum of ten participants. We will be maintaining safe physical distance throughout the program, but all participants are required to wear a face covering (mouth + nose) throughout the duration of the program. Due to suspended use of indoor spaces, inclement weather may cancel programs. If you are traveling from out of state for this program, please read the latest state regulations before registering.
