The July moon is known as the “Buck Moon,” because that’s when deer are growing antlers. What would you call this moon? Join us to share your own moon stories! This will be a slow, quiet and somewhat dark walk, although the moon will light the way. We will share stories, poems, honor Grandmother Moon at the beach, and enjoy being outside at the Reserve after hours. Dress for the weather and walking, bring bug repellent, and have a flashlight on hand, though you will be encouraged to keep it off. Children ages 10 and up are welcome to attend.

The Wells Reserve operates in accordance with orders from the Governor of Maine and instructions from the Maine Center for Disease Control. Reserve leadership will monitor, evaluate, and adapt as needed to ensure all programs operate safely and effectively.

Please have a mask on hand if you are not vaccinated and/or feel safer being masked in a group setting.
