Family Program: Life Under the Dock 

Seaweed, crabs and shrimp oh my! Join us in taking a closer look at the marine plants and animals that live on and below the Wells Harbor dock. We will investigate using nets and buckets and also try to catch crabs! (photo credit: Laurie Newell)

***This program takes place at Wells Harbor! Navigate to 345 Harbor Rd, Wells.***

*Please come prepared for the sun and to lie down/sit on the dock to investigate the creatures below! 

*Life jackets required for kids ages 10 and under while on the dock. Please bring them if you have them. There are also some free for public use at the dock. 


The Wells Reserve operates in accordance with orders from the Governor of Maine and instructions from the Maine Center for Disease Control. Reserve leadership will monitor, evaluate, and adapt as needed to ensure all programs operate safely and effectively. Please have a mask on hand if you are not vaccinated and/or feel safer being masked in a group setting.
