Come along on this winter walk to learn about common Maine trees, what they do in the winter, and how to identify species when you can’t use leaves. Led by experienced Reserve docent, naturalist, and nature writer, Eileen Willard, who spent fifteen years as an University of New Hampshire instructor in dendrology (the study of trees). Please dress warmly to be outdoors for the duration of the program. Ages 12 and up.

The Wells Reserve operates in accordance with orders from the Governor of Maine and instructions from the Maine Center for Disease Control. Reserve leadership will monitor, evaluate, and adapt as needed to ensure all programs operate safely and effectively. Please have a mask on hand if you are not vaccinated and/or feel safer being masked in a group setting. Please note that masks are required in Wells Reserve indoor spaces (including restrooms).
