Ordinary people have more power to change the world than they think they do. But it is hard to stay positive and motivated in the face of devastating weather and constant bad news about the environment. Please join author Susan B. Inches for a presentation on how to find your power and take action for the environment. By working together, we can create a healthy future where all life is respected, revered and nurtured. This talk will show you how.

The Wells Reserve is co-sponsoring this program with The Planeteers of Southern Maine, a grassroots environmental advocacy and education group concerned about climate change, acting to stem the tide, promote sustainable living, and protect Mother Earth.

This Ted Exford Climate Stewards lecture is supported by Dave & Loretta (Exford) Hoglund and the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Committee, Kennebunk.

**A free copy of Susan B. Inches’s Advocating for the Environment: How to Gather Your Power and Take Action will be provided to the first 24 people who email someplaneteers@yahoo.com with a commitment to: 1) Participate in this March 29 "Finding Hope in the Face of Climate Change" Zoom from 6-7pm, 2) Participate in a virtual book discussion from 6-7pm on Tuesday, April 19 (register here), 3) Enlist a second person to participate in both the March 29 and April 19 gatherings on Zoom, 4) Take action as a result of reading the book, and 5) Pick up the book in-person in Kennebunk.

About the Presenter

Since childhood, Sue Inches has envisioned a world that is compassionate, inclusive and environmentally aware. This vision guided her throughout her schooling and a 25-year career in public policy. Signature policy issues she’s worked on include fisheries, land use planning, smart growth, building and energy codes, renewable energy, energy efficiency, working waterfront access, community finance, and rural broadband.

Sue now teaches advocacy skills at several colleges and remains actively engaged in advocacy work, serving on board of Defend Our Health and the steering committee of the Pine Tree Amendment Coalition.
