The sea has provided food for humans for millennia, but only in the last 200 years have scientists and governments begun trying to understand and manage the impacts of fishing on species and ecosystems. Join Postdoctoral Research Fellow Ben Gutzler for an overview of fishing methods, their advantages and disadvantages, and how scientists monitor fishing activity and stock abundances for management purposes.

Please have a mask on hand if you are not vaccinated and/or feel safer being masked in a group setting. This program will take place indoors.
