On October 9, sunset is at 6:11pm and moonrise is at 6:18pm. Join Maine Master Naturalist Linda Littlefield Grenfell to watch the sunset and moonrise from one of the highest points in Wells, then meander to the beach. Come experience the Reserve at night, listening for owls and other wildlife. The October Moon was often called the Hunter's Moon, the Travel Moon, or the Dying Moon, as well as other names. Discover moon lure, poems and stories, and spend time quietly communing. We will gather in a gratitude circle on the beach before returning to the parking lot. This is a great family experience for those who can enjoy the quiet. Rain date: Monday, October 10.
