Forest Bathing, also known as "Shinrin-Yoku," refers to the practice of spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness. Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Forest Bathing is a fun, relaxing way to shed stress, connect with your soul, and give your body the things it needs to feel happy and healthy. Enjoy a gentle stroll through fields and forest while opening your senses to the medicine of the forests. This walk will cover about a mile of trail which is mostly level with no steep inclines. This walk is suitable for anyone who can walk up to a mile at a very slow pace, ages 10 and up. The duration of the walk will span approximately 3 hours and engage participants in a series of sensory immersions and conclude with a tea ceremony of foraged plants. Participants need to dress appropriately to match the weather conditions. Please bring a water bottle, bug spray, and anything else you need to be comfortable.
