In the last three decades, the Gulf of Maine has been warming at a faster rate than any other body of water on Earth! This rapid change in temperature has "opened the door" to a number of marine invasive species that can have negative impacts on local habitats, fisheries, recreation, and therefore our local economies. Come hear from Research Associate Jeremy Miller about the changing intertidal communities in the Gulf of Maine through the lens of a community-based volunteer monitoring program called MIMIC, and find out how YOU can help monitoring in your community.
