As part of its Pollinate New England project, New England Wild Flower Society will offer a free evening lecture presented by plant and pollinator experts Annie White and Mark Richardson. People of all experience levels are invited to attend. The lecture will cover the plight of pollinators, how to create pollinator-friendly landscapes, and choosing great garden plants for pollinators that are native to our ecoregions. Please join us as we Pollinate New England!

Annie White

Annie White, PhD, ASLA is an ecological landscape designer specializing in pollinator-friendly landscapes. She is the owner and principal designer of Nectar Landscape Design Studio in Burlington, Vermont and is an adjunct professor at the University of Vermont. Annie holds a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a PhD in Plant & Soil Science from the University of Vermont.  


Mark Richardson, New England Wild Flower Society's botanic garden director, studied ornamental horticulture at the University of Rhode Island and holds a master’s degree from the University of Delaware’s Longwood Graduate Program. In his roles as botanic garden director, he oversees the Society's 45-acre botanic garden, Garden in the Woods, and its Nasami Farm Native Plant Nursery.
