Let us take you on a tour of the recently designated Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument, located just 150 miles of the coast of Cape Cod. The area is home to endangered whales, 1,000-year-old deep sea coral communities, and a plethora of fish and seabird species. As New England’s only marine monument, this amazing place is scientifically and ecologically important and belongs to the American people. Come learn more about the monument and what needs to be done to ensure continued protection of our ocean’s most special places. Presentation by Jennifer Felt, Ocean Campaign Director at Conservation Law Foundation (CLF). Learn more about CLF at www.clf.org. Suggested donation is $2 per person. Please meet in Mather Auditorium and feel free to bring your bag lunch to eat during the presentation.
