Teaching Lab

Enjoy wildlife, trail time and working with younger students? Join us to learn how to lead this exciting grades K-2 school program all about Maine wildlife! This program comes in two parts: live animal presentation and trail time. Center for Wildlife staff bring non-releasable rehabilitated animals to teach about native wildlife. Students then venture onto the Wells Reserve trails with us to explore animal habitats.

Program Specifics: Grades K – 2nd, Duration 3 hours (trail time 1.5hrs), Group Size 12 student maximum. 

New docents are welcome!

Training will be out on the trails!

Please dress for the weather and trail walk.

Snacks will be provided. Please bring a water bottle.

Meet in the Teaching Lab in the Maine Coastal Ecology Center.
