Through hands-on exploration of the estuary, we strive to help students discover and appreciate the connections between the land and sea. Trailside exploration stations immerse the students in learning about and lending a hand for the estuary. Activities may include: testing the salinity of water, investigating forest finds, observing skins and skulls of local wildlife, cleaning up the beach, and learning about human impacts on estuaries with an interactive watershed model.

Program Specifics: Grades 3rd – 5th, Duration 3 hours, Group Size 12 student maximum.

Weekdays in the spring and fall.
