This messaging training is presented by The Maine Climate Table, a partnership that currently includes participation from over 140 individuals and organizations from the business, nonprofit, philanthropic and government sectors in Maine. The Climate Table’s vision is to create a state-based model for climate initiatives that increases broad civic engagement and leads to climate action. Climate Table messaging trainings, led by GrowSmart Maine’s Tyler Kidder, share findings and messaging recommendations developed over four years of engaging with Mainers about their perceptions of climate change and what we can do about it.

Since 2014, the Climate Table has worked with Goodwin Simon Strategic Research, a national opinion research firm, to help us understand what Mainers think about the impacts of climate change, including what they are seeing in their everyday lives. We've identified opportunities to connect with our neighbors and colleagues on projects and solutions that have the potential to bring communities together.

We hope you'll join us to learn about the results of this research and to bring your own expertise to bear as we discuss ways to communicate effectively about climate change in Maine.

Support for this workshop is provided by Dave & Loretta (Exford) Hoglund.
