This event is handicap accessibleResearchers at the Wells Reserve are using DNA to detect the presence of important fish and crab species in local rivers and estuaries. Water and sediment samples are analyzed for DNA shed by species of interest using laboratory techniques more familiar to forensic science than coastal ecology. Learn how this new tool is being used to track rare and invasive species as their populations shift with changing environmental conditions.
