Laudholm Loppet

by Wells Reserve Contributor

What’s a Loppet?

Traditionally, a løpet is a long cross-country ski race, a test of endurance, and a reverent nod to the grueling journey of Sweden’s first king Gustav Vasa as he fled Danish imprisonment.

Laudholm Loppet Logsheet
Track the distance you ski, snowshoe, or walk on the Wells Reserve trails between January 1 and March 10.

What’s the Laudholm Loppet?

This is a gentler loppet, but with a nod to our own history. Ski, snowshoe, or hike the same amount in kilometers as years since the Wells Reserve’s dedication—that’s 32—between January 1 and March 10. Log your distances (to 0.1 km) on our logsheet or use your favorite app.

Laudholm Loppet Rules
