Training Community Scientists to Monitor Blue Crabs in Casco Bay

Background

Various life stages of the blue crab have recently been found in estuaries of Maine where immatures represented the only previous records. Increased survey effort in Wells suggest the population is expanding. This project will determine whether the range of this traditionally southern species includes Casco Bay.
