Wells National Paranormal Research Reserve?

Posted by | October 31, 2014

boo!

On September 26, 2013, the Wells Reserve invited a team of ghosthunters from New Hampshire, the Seeking the Unknown Realm Society, to spend a dark and eerie night poking through the basements, barns, attics and outbuildings of the Wells Reserve.

Accompanied by [skeptical] Reserve educators Suzanne Kahn, Kate Reichert, and Caretaker Ed, the ghosthunters deployed their electromagnetic field (EMF) detectors, infrared cameras, and flickery flashlights across "old Laudholm Farm."

What they found surprised and shocked them.

STURS in the barn

On October 29, 2013, representatives from S.T.U.R.S. returned to present the findings of their midnight investigation. While a handful of brave souls ventured out that windy Tuesday night a year ago to learn the "truth," most of the local villagers stayed away. Out of indifference, derision, or fear, they did not want to see the "evidence of ghosts at Laudholm."

Only a few learned what the S.T.U.R.S. investigation had discovered.

And then, over the course of the following year, the "evidence" the S.T.U.R.S. team had collected and presented... DISAPPEARED.

No one knew where it had gone.

It was as if the donated DVD of images, videos, and sound recordings had simply vanished into thin air.

Until now.

...well, actually, it turns out we had the DVD all along.

It was just under some papers.

Here's some selected "data" from the ghosthunters:

Right about 15 seconds into this sound file, an unknown something groans (or a stomach gurgles?) as the paranormal investigators enter the Docent Room in the Farmhouse. Ghosthunters frequently find anomalous sounds on their audio recordings, well after the fact. Post-analysis is a tool of the trade.

Electromagnetic field fluctuations are also used to search for "strange energies." A video from the pitch-dark basement of the Laudholm farmhouse:

What do you think? Is this data? Is this science? Is this... a haunting?

Thanks again to the S.T.U.R.S. team. Happy Halloween!

Who you gonna call?
